I am currently in the middle of wallpapering my laundry room. I’m nearly finished and planning the rest of the elements I want to add to this space. (You can follow along on my Instagram stories). I love decorating with patterns in laundry rooms, and incorporating my favorite laundry room patterns in this space.
I have a natural tone travertine throughout my home. It’s not what I would pick myself, but came with the house and is in perfect condition; I can’t justify ripping it out. So, rather than laying A fun pattern in the tile like I do in most client’s laundry rooms, I brought pattern in on the wall with a beautiful large scale check wallpaper.

My cabinets are a warm wood tone, and I have a laundry sink in this space that needs a Backsplash behind it. The next phase of this project includes a DIY backsplash on the wall of cabinets. I’m loving the stacked vertical subway pattern, and will stick with one solid tile color so the wallpaper and tile patterns don’t clash. I’m loving solid, bright colors in a green or aqua.
I decided not to wallpaper the wall where my data panel, aka the brain, for my whole home is. We often need to access it and I’m afraid removing the panel like we do will scratch wallpaper, so I am choosing to paint the wall a fun accent color.

Laundry rooms are a space to have fun, and display your personality. It’s a safe place to be bold in color and pattern, more so than other areas of you home… and makes doing laundry a little more enjoyable!
